A lot of what draws people into the backcountry is the ability to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you have an adventurous spirit, good navigation skills, and like the idea of possible bushwhacking, then these hikes are for you

Three Falls of French Creek
The trails are easy while you are on them.... and adventurous when you are not. Bushwhacking is required to see all three falls. Sliding down hills, wading a stream and exploring is the expectation. This is not your run of the mill hike but a fun one to investigate. The hike is approximately 10km round trip.

Linking Baldy Pass to Porcupine Creek
Comfort in the alpine in a necessity to complete this loop. A well travelled trail takes you up to Baldy Pass. Continuing on from the pass a faint trail can be seen travelling south up to the summit of the un-named peak. From there you are on your own until you drop down to Porcupine Creek. Study your topo map to determine the most appropriate route.
