Here at Get Outside we take COVID-19 seriously. Our biggest commitment is the safety and well-being of you and our staff! When you decide to hike with us, you can feel confident that you’ve made the right choice!
What to expect on your next adventure with Get Outside:
As of Jan 1, 2022 all guests will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend a Get Outside adventure
Everyone will be expected to drive themselves to the trailhead except for those from the same household or "bubble"
Please do not handle other participants gear
No food/beverage can be shared amongst participants unless they are from the same household
2m distancing must be maintained while on trail
If 2m distancing cannot be maintained masks covering nose, mouth, and chin must be worn
Participants are encouraged to carry hand sanitizer with them and use it regularly throughout the day
In light of minimizing contact, guests are asked to please print, read, and sign a copy of this waiver and health Declaration and bring it with them
If you are unwell or have been exposed to someone unwell you will be asked to stay home
Group sizes have been limited to improve group safety
Additional precautions for multi-day trips:
All in-person pre-trip meetings have been moved to an online platform. Except for WCT, Cape Chignecto, and Mantario Trail. You will receive an email with the invite a few days in advance of the meeting
We prefer that people from the same "bubble" share tents as some campgrounds have limited tent platforms. You will not be paired in a tent with a stranger unless you request it to keep your pack weight down.
Group gear will be carried in roll top closure bags and contents will only be handled by the guide
Within 2m of the designated cooking area masks covering nose, mouth, and chin must be worn
Only the guide will perform cooking and kitchen duties
In the event of poor weather masks covering nose, mouth, and chin must be worn under the tarp
