HIKE AND DINE: Taste of Canmore

Spoil yourself with the perfect combination of exploration and relaxation. Wake up your body and mind as you explore the mountains on a guided hike and reward yourself after with a three-course meal from one of Canmore’s finest restaurants. Your future self will thank you!
 
The events run Friday evenings and Sunday mornings year round. In the winter, traction spikes are provided for your shoes.

Dates & Price
  • Adventure Dates: 
    • Fridays @ 3:30pm
    • Sundays @ 9:00am 
    • Minimum of two people needed for the event to run. Call for group rate.
  • Adventure Rates: 
    • C$135pp + applicable taxes

Planned Itinerary

Meet your awesome guide at the Iron Goat. The time will depend on the day. We will leave on foot, explore the surrounding mountains, and hike back for dinner. On Sundays we will be back to enjoy the delicious brunch. Together, Iron Goat and Get Outside have created a menu just for your enjoyment. Having already burned the calories while on the trail you can now sit back, soak in the views, and relish your meal! There is no need to rush, the experience is yours to enjoy!
Fridays:​
  • Meet for 3:30pm
  • Hike from 3:45 - 7pm
  • Dinner 7pm until you choose to end your lovely evening​
Sundays:​
  • Meet for 9am
  • Hike from 9:15 - 11:30am
  • Brunch 11:30 until you choose to end your experience and start your day
Gear

Included:
  • Instruction from an ACMG Guide
  • Group outing
  • If needed, a headlamp
  • If needed, micro-spikes
  • Safety equipment - bear spray, communication device, first aid kit
Participants must provide:
  • ​Transportation to the trailhead
Level of Difficulty

The trail is 7km long and hard packed. You can expect uneven footing with ocasional sections with short hills. Good sturdy boots or shoes are needed to enjoy this trail.
