Planned Itinerary

Yoho National Park Trail Map
  • Day 1 – Due to COVID-19 our pre-trip meetings will now be held online at 7pm. We will make sure everyone has everything they need, introduce the group, laugh lots, distribute the group gear, and chat about our amazing adventure. If COVID-19 restrictions relax we will resume in person pre-trip meetings. if this occurs, you will be notified of the change.

  • Day 2 – Our first day is a tour of 5 waterfalls! Arriving at the parking lot we have an immediate spectacular view of Takakkaw Falls, the second tallest waterfall in Canada, rising over 350m in the air. From here we’ll follow our trail through pockets of temperate rainforest, enjoying breaks at Laughing Falls, Point of Lace Falls and Angel’s Staircase Falls. Tonight’s camp is near the base of our final waterfall of the day, Twin Falls. The roar of the river will be our backdrop and lull us to sleep after a well-deserved gourmet meal – 7.2km 150m

Day 3 - We are quickly rewarded with up close views of Twin Falls. These falls are unique with two channels of rushing water that fall side by side before crashing into the river below. Continuing upwards, the trail gets steeper as we hike around to the top of the falls. Reaching the height fo our day we cross an exhilarating suspension bridge and take in 360-degree views of glaciers and alpine peaks before dropping down to the valley floor and our campsite at Little Yoho Campground. After another delicious meal, we’ll drift to sleep in anticipation for our next day of outstanding alpine scenery - 10.4km 745m

Day 4 – Try to contain your excitement as we break camp. Today we explore the iconic Iceline trail. Starting off with a series of switchbacks we spend the day high in the alpine hiking past hanging glaciers, turquoise lakes, and spectacular views of the valley below. The beauty and excitement will keep you going as we make our way back to our cars at Takakkaw Falls parking lot and the end to a spectacular backpacking trip!  - 10.9 km, 175m.
