Planned Itinerary

  • Pre-Trip Meeting (Online):

Before we meet in person, we’ll connect via video call to review trip details, clothing and gear recommendations, snowshoe setup, and the weekend’s forecast. This short session is a great chance to meet your guide and the other women on the trip, ask questions, and make sure you’re feeling prepared and excited for the weekend ahead.

  • Friday :

    Arrival & Optional Night Hike

    • Arrival: Arrive in Lake Louise and check in at the Lake Louise Inn, your base for the weekend. The lodge offers warm, comfortable rooms, a pool and hot tub, and an easy atmosphere to settle into after your travels.

    • Optional Night Hike (6:30 PM): For those who’d like to stretch their legs, join your guide for a gentle evening snowshoe or walk along the Lake Louise shoreline. Under the starlit sky, we’ll follow the snowy trail along the frozen lake, surrounded by the silhouettes of Victoria Glacier and the Fairview Range — a magical way to begin the weekend.

  • Saturday :

Lake Louise Snowshoe Adventure & Dog Sledding

    • 8:00 AM: After breakfast, we’ll gather for a moderate snowshoe adventure (approximately 10 km round-trip).
The day’s route will depend on weather and snow conditions and temperature. Expect a moderate pace, lots of photo stops, and stunning alpine scenery — snow-draped trees, frozen waterfalls, and classic mountain views that make Lake Louise world-famous.

    • Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll meet our local dog sledding guides for an unforgettable experience with a friendly team of alaskan huskies. You’ll learn about sledding traditions, meet the dogs, and enjoy a thrilling ride through snowy forest trails — a highlight of any winter in the Rockies!

    • 6:30 PM: We’ll gather for a group dinner Bill Peyto's Cafe at the Lake Louise Hostel. It’s a relaxed, social evening to share stories, laugh, and enjoy a hearty meal together.
  • Sunday:

    Boom Lake Snowshoe

    • 9:00 AM: After breakfast and packing up, we’ll drive east toward Boom Lake, located in Banff National Park near the Continental Divide.

    • The Boom Lake Trail is a beautiful, forested route that opens up to a wide frozen lake framed by dramatic peaks. The 10 km round-trip trail is moderate and steady, making it a perfect finale for the weekend. Depending on conditions, we might enjoy hot drinks or snacks at the lake before heading back.

    • Return to Lake Louise in the mid-afternoon, thank your guides, and say farewell to your new friends.
