DIANA LAKE LODGE


Get off the beaten path and visit a secluded mountain hut on this women's only hut-based hiking trip!

This trip is an excellent occasion to connect with like-minded women at beautiful Diana Lake Lodge. Diana Lake Lodge offers a fully catered experience with the opportunity to bring your (well behaved) furry friend with you for the ride. It is one of the only backcountry hut that allows dogs. Don’t miss this opportunity for a unique adventure in sublime mountain wilderness!

Please note: The lodge charges an extra fee for dogs @ 20$ per night.

A pre-trip meeting will take place with guests, guides, and dogs virtually the week before the trip,  date TBD.

Itinerary and Gear

Planned Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Today is for the pre-trip meeting. Our meeting will take place in person at 7pm in Invermere, Location TBD. We will make sure everyone has everything they need, introduce the group, laugh lots, and distribute the group gear.

    (There is an option to add a day hike in the Invermere area on Day 1 - please contact info@getoutsideadventures to discuss details and additional costs)

  • Day 2:

    Load up the vehicles and let us get away from the crowds! Get ready for the beautiful and unique hike into Diana Lake Lodge! Walk through a lush forest and watch the expansive views of alpine meadows and wildflowers open as we ascend. Today’s hike is 7kms with 700 meters of elevation. Once at the destination make yourself comfortable, enjoy sub – alpine meadows and amazing food with great company.

  • Day 3:

    Explore this majestic remote corner of the Canadian Rockies with your skilled guide and take in the local surroundings. We will explore the local meadows and the surrounding ridges. Today the hike will be approximately 5-7 kms with 600 meters elevation gain.

  • Day 4:

    Our final day we will say goodbye to Diana Lake Lodge and our amazing chef. We will make our way back through the beautiful meadows and take in the spectacular scenery while descending back to the trailhead.

 

Level of Difficulty

This trip is designed for those with an intermediate fitness level. You should be able to carry ~25 lbs for up to 6 hours over 600 m elevation gain.

If you have the fitness level, minimal experience is needed for backpacking; let me teach you!

Participants must provide:

  • Accommodations the night before getting on the trail
  • Breakfast, Lunch and dinner of day 1 (pre-trip meeting) and supper on the last day.
