Hiking for fun...and wellness

Dust off the cobwebs from winter and get outside. Explore the amazing views of Banff National Park over 5 weeks while learning how to modify your step to save energy, manage those aches and pains, and stay injury free for the best summer yet. Keep limber by finishing each hike with a physiotherapist-led stretching program. This is the perfect series for anyone planning a backpacking trip this summer or for anyone wanting to improve their healthy lifestyle.

We will start with a beginner friendly hike of 7-10km, with up to 300m of elevation gain. By the end of the program we will be ready to tackle 13-15km, with up to 600m elevation.

    Oct 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23th and 30th

Adventure Rates:
  • Participants:

    CAD $375 for all 5 sessions + applicable taxes

    CAD $95 for drop-in + applicable taxes

  • Due to COVID-19 Group size is limited to 6-8 adventurers

Itinerary and Gear

Planned Itinerary

The first week (orientation):

  • 8:30am:
    Meet your guide at Elevation Place in Canmore, AB.
    Map to Elevation Place  
  • 8:45am:
    Drive to trailhead. Due to COVID-19 everyone is expected to drive themselves unless from the same household.
  • 3:30pm:
    Arrive back at the trailhead.

The following weeks:

  • 8-9:00am:
    You will receive an email with instructions on how to meet at the trailhead. The meeting time will change based on the location of the hike (approximately between 8-9:00am). Each week the trail will be chosen based on the groups fitness level. We also avoid trails that people in the group have hiked before. The goal is take you on progressively harder hikes while showing you new areas so that you can go out and explore on your own!


Level of Difficulty

This series is designed for those looking to build their fitness and HAVE FUN!!! The hikes are geared towards the whole group, no one will be left behind.
